THE SHORT VERSION
What almost everyone ends up with
Alipay with an international card bound is the main wallet for most visitors: payments under ¥200 carry no platform fee, and the fee above that is around 3%. WeChat Pay is the backup, because some merchants and mini-programs only take one of the two. Cash has quietly become the third backup — rarely needed, decisive when a phone dies. The full reasoning lives in the payment guide and the TenPayGo explainer.
